The Army Air Forces War Adjustment Course was established in 1944 at several locations in the U.S., one of which was Harvard Business School. The HBS program involved eight weeks of training in the business of contract terminations, cutbacks, and property disposal necessitated by changes in Army Air Forces tactical requirements. Floyd Bacon Mozingo, a native of Culpeper County, Va., enlisted in the United States Army Air Forces cadet corps in Richmond in June 1943. He graduated as a fighter pilot with the 2116th AAF base unit at Napier Field, Dothan, Ala., in April 1945 and was discharged at Randolph Field, San Antonio, Tex., in December 1945 while serving with the 2510th AAF base unit.
